Previous to the launch of iShow.com Inc in 1999, the founders of the company introduced an "InterRom" iShow CD that was hyper linked to the Internet. Contained on the CD were video and audio programs with links to participants Websites. In the early days of the world wide web and dial-up connections, the CD's allowed advertisers to deliver their rich media via CD-ROM, but still gave them the flexibility to present real time information accessed from their Websites. Our plan was to eliminate the iShow CD delivery system once broadband was rolled out and watching video on the web became a better user experience.
